    Bio-electricity Science
    The health is indispensable for stable and comfortable human life. The somatic fat ratio is one of many parameters indicating the health status. It can be obtained through the macroscopic bio-impedance measurement of whole body through the impedance difference between fat and other tissues.

    In this research project, we firstly aim to realize the screening of the internal organ disease and the prevention of the circulatory system disease by the simultaneous measurement of general and local bio-impedances. Secondly, the modeling of the physical factors, which is dependent upon the acquired elements (e.g., sex, age, motion and eating habits), will be attempted based on the bio-impedance measured with use of multiple frequencies. In addition, the database of physical factors will be accumulated. Further, based on health status of individuals, we will offer the life guideline designed in consideration of individual health status. In this research project, the researchers of physical education and bio-electricity science collaborate to develop new measurement method and its application to the human health. Through this collaborative work, we are going to contribute the health promotion of people.



    Our project is equipped with a unique virtual reality system, which can offer the visual, acoustic and force senses to the user. In the case of the simple task under various conditions for offering the examinee in the virtual space, activity state of his/her brain is quantitatively measured. By this experiment, effectiveness of the offer of a virtual sense, optimization of offer method of the virtual sense, and optimization of method for construction of virtual space can be examined. Based on these studies, we will construct the guideline for designing the human-friendly machine and the virtual space, which realize the effective communications between "human and human" or "human and machine."
